Christmas cooking
I had the priviledge of cooking in my mother in law's kitchen this Christmas holiday. It is a well stocked kitchen however, it is so well stocked that one must be wary of falling objects at anytime the cabinets or doors are opened. That said, one can go into the kitchen and cook anything from Mexican to Italian to German at any given moment. It is like being a kid in a candy shop! Over the 4 days, I cooked: Hot German Potato Salad, Brats, and Hungarian Sausage (from Al's Quality Market in Barberton), Sausage gravy and biscuits, Turkey Pot Pie (biscuits courtesy of sous chef Eddie), Country Style spare ribs, Roast Beef and Gravy. I did a lot of dishes, but it was well worth it. Thanks to Violet's well stocked kitchen, we had plenty to eat over the Christmas holiday and everyone's toes and feet made it home safely intact.

YUMMY! We thought about you all often while we were gone (maybe Violet more than anyone else, probably wondering how her kitchen was faring!). Nice how food is always the center of attraction at every family gathering.
